11 SPDR sector ETFs vs SPY across multiple horizons + RS + regime classifier.
11 SPDR sectors vs SPY across 1d / 5d / 1mo / 3mo / 6mo.
Eleven SPDR sector ETFs (XLK / XLF / XLV / XLY / XLI / XLE / XLP / XLU / XLB / XLRE / XLC) along the rows. Performance vs SPY across five horizons in the columns. Steel diverging gradient — green outperform, red underperform.
Top-left chip aggregates the leadership pattern. Cyclical sectors (XLI/XLY/XLF/XLB) leading + defensives (XLU/XLP/XLV) lagging = RISK ON. Reverse = DEFENSIVE. Mixed = transitional.
When XLU + XLP + XLV cluster at the top of performance leadership, the cycle is late. Historically precedes rate-hike pauses, growth fears, and recession concerns. Cyclical leadership returning = early-cycle inflection.
Defensive sector leadership + widening credit spreads + yield-curve steepening from inversion = textbook late-cycle macro setup. Type CSP / GC for those panels.
CSP“The sector rotation panel ranks the eleven sectors against the market across horizons, showing where money is rotating.”
Tabular matrix of all 11 SPDR sector ETFs benchmarked against SPY. Each row is a sector; columns show price change at 1-day, 5-day, 1-month, 3-month, and 6-month horizons, plus the 1-month relative strength versus SPY (sector return − SPY return).
Sectors are tagged CYC (cyclical: Technology, Financials, Industrials, Discretionary, Energy, Materials, Comm Services) or DEF (defensive: Staples, Utilities, Health Care, Real Estate). The hero regime chip reads which side dominates the top half of the 1-month RS ranking.
add rotation or add sectors.rotation, sectorrotation, sectors, spdrs, rs.Rows are sorted by RS 1MO descending — the top of the list is the current 1-month leader.
Hero chip categorizes the top half of the RS-1mo ranking:
Server fetches daily aggregates for SPY and all 11 SPDR sector ETFs in parallel from the licensed market-data feed. Computes 1-day / 5-day / 1-month / 3-month / 6-month price changes from adjusted close prices, and the RS-1mo as the difference between sector and SPY 1-month returns. 5-minute server cache — sector rotation is a daily phenomenon, not intraday.
