Top section: settled cash, unsettled cash (T+1 / T+2), full buying power (cash + margin if enabled), portfolio value. Reg-T accounts get 2:1 BP; portfolio-margin accounts get risk-based BP.
How much of your equity is currently committed as margin + the maintenance threshold (Reg-T maintenance is 25%; portfolio margin is risk-calculated). Approaching maintenance = forced-liquidation risk.
Pattern-day-trader rule: 4 day trades within 5 business days = PDT designation; requires $25k equity minimum. The counter shows where you are. Burn through this counter without realising = forced 90-day cash-account demotion.
Type POS for current open positions. Account + Positions together = your full margin / liquidity / concentration exposure at a glance.
