tpo software
TPO stacks a letter for every 30-minute half-bracket a price traded in: wide where the market kept revisiting, narrow where it was rejected quickly. Sharpnel's TPO panel is a full-canvas workspace, not a sidebar — four period columns side by side, letters or volume bars, the point of control and the value area on every column — and it lives next to the footprint, the DOM ladder and the dealer gamma walls in one terminal.
The problem
Market Profile tells you where value is being built. The footprint and the ladder tell you who is doing the building. Most stacks keep them in separate products, so the auction and the aggression never sit side by side.
The distribution is the point. When the TPO is a narrow strip next to a chart, the shape that carries the information is the thing you cannot read.
A value area high sitting on a call wall is a different level from a value area high in open air. Without the walls on the same screen you are reading the auction with one eye closed.
What Sharpnel does
Four period profiles next to each other — today against the sessions before it — with the point of control and the value area marked on every column, so migration of value is something you see rather than compute.
The same distribution drawn as TPO letters, one per 30-minute bracket, or as volume-by-price bars, on a full-canvas panel built to live on its own screen.
Bid and ask volume inside every candle, imbalance colouring, a delta profile and absorption detection; and a DOM ladder whose Pull/Stack column shows liquidity being pulled and stacked live. One terminal, one symbol bus: the profile, the footprint and the ladder follow the same instrument.
The call wall, the put wall and the gamma flip are recomputed about every 60 seconds and drawn where they land in the profile. Pharos, the terminal's voice, says when price reaches a wall and what the ladder is doing there, and stays quiet otherwise.
| The job | A Market Profile add-on | Sharpnel |
|---|---|---|
| Where it lives | A sidebar or a plug-in | A full-canvas panel with four columns |
| The order flow | Another product | Footprint V2 and DOM V2 in the same terminal, same symbol |
| The dealer walls | Not there | Recomputed intraday, drawn on the profile |
| When price reaches value or a wall | You watch | The terminal says what the ladder is doing |
