call wall put wall
Two prices a day matter more than the rest: where dealer hedging is most likely to stall a rally, and where it is most likely to stall a sell-off. Sharpnel recomputes both about every 60 seconds from live implied volatility and draws them on your chart next to the order flow. Today's ES and NQ walls are published free before the open and graded at 4:15 pm ET, misses included.
The problem
Most services publish the call wall and the put wall once, in the morning. 0DTE flow is now the majority of SPX option volume and it rebuilds the gamma surface through the session, so a morning wall drifts, and you find out by trading into a level that is no longer there.
A dashboard tells you a number. You alt-tab to your chart and eyeball where it lands, then alt-tab back to see whether it moved. The level is never on the ladder you are actually reading when price gets there.
A wall that held is screenshotted; a wall that broke is forgotten. Without a public record you cannot tell a good source from a lucky week.
What Sharpnel does
Every cycle re-pulls the option chain, recomputes Black-Scholes gamma per contract on current implied volatility, re-aggregates the strikes and rescales to the live futures price. The wall you trade at 11am is the wall that is there at 11am.
The call wall and the put wall sit on the same chart as the DOM ladder, the footprint and the tape. When price approaches the wall you see the absorption or the vacuum at the same moment, not in a separate tab.
The terminal has a voice. It tells you when price reaches the call wall you were watching, whether it is the third push into it, and whether bids are outweighing offers at the level. It states what the data shows and never what to do about it.
Each morning's ES and NQ walls are frozen at 08:30 ET and graded against the real session at 4:15 pm ET. The whole record is on one page, month by month, misses included.
| The job | Morning dashboard / PDF | Sharpnel |
|---|---|---|
| When the wall is computed | Once, before the open | About every 60 seconds through the session |
| Where it lives | A dashboard or a PDF | On the chart, next to the DOM, footprint and tape |
| What happens when price gets there | You look it up | The terminal says it, and shows the ladder at the same moment |
| Is it graded | Rarely, and never the misses | Every session at 4:15 pm ET, in public, misses included |
Today's free walls are a morning snapshot by design; the intraday recompute is the paid product.

The close read, from the gamma engine
This is a real end-of-session read from my own OI-derived gamma engine — where the walls sat when the bell went, published once a day and never retouched. What it can't show you is the session itself: in the terminal these levels rebuild about every minute on your own chart, next to the DOM, the footprint and the tape, with the zero-gamma line and the full strike profile. The walls move all day. This page shows you where they ended up; Pro shows you while it's happening.
OI-derived dealer-gamma estimate · published once after the close here, rebuilt ~60s in the terminal · informational, not advice
$125/mo — or $94/mo billed annually
What you are reading here is free and stays free. Pro is the live one: these walls and the full strike profile rebuilt about every minute while the session runs, on the same chart as the DOM, the footprint and the tape — and drawn inside your own charting software too.
